LA SPEZIA (Reuter) - A 17-year-old Italian girl who could no longer live with teenage acne, stripped herself naked, soaked herself in gasoline, ignited it and threw herself down a ravine, police said yesterday.

Friends of Marina Rossi said she had tried to cure the skin complaint with creams and had also visited a dermatologist.

The girl's naked body was found at the bottom of the ravine near the northern port of La Spezia Tuesday. Police said it was still not known exactly when she killed herself.
